I discovered Life Data Labs Hoof Clay over a year ago at Southern Equine Expo 2023. I spoke to the sales rep about the difficulty I had in transitioning my horses to a new climate when we moved from Tennessee to Florida. He gave me 10-ounce jar and promised me it would help. I’ve been using it ever since.
Hoof Problems
When I moved my horses to the Florida panhandle in April 2022, they had a tough time getting used to a new climate. While the temperatures aren’t significantly different, the ground, the humidity, and the grasses are significantly different.
The combination of sand, hay instead of grass, and increased moisture led to thrush and white line disease in all my horses. Every. Single. One. The added difficulty of finding a good, reliable farrier didn’t help.
Other Solutions
For years, I’ve used Absorbine Hooflex as a go-to to keep my horses’ hooves healthy. I used it on the inside of their hooves to prevent thrush during wet seasons and on the outside of their hooves to prevent cracks during dry seasons. It didn’t touch the thrush I was seeing in Florida.
I tried Thrush Buster, homemade remedies, and everything else I could find. Nothing worked. Getting their feed adjusted to make up for the lack of grass helped, but it didn’t solve the problem.

Life Data Labs Hoof Clay
When I came home from Southern Equine Expo 2023 with Life Data Labs Hoof Clay, I immediately followed the sales rep’s instructions. When our new farrier came three weeks later, we had zero thrush.
It took a few more weeks to get the white line disease in my donkey’s back hoof under control, but within two farrier visits, I had 16 healthy hooves after seven months of fighting thrush and white line disease!
This product has become a staple in our barn, and it should be a staple in your barn too! I’m never without it and my horse’s hooves get treated with it at the first sign of trouble. I just can’t recommend this hoof clay enough.
