Rider coaching for adult amateur riders fits in the space between horse trainers and riding instructors. While I have experience in both, I offer a unique service that isn’t covered under traditional equestrian industry services.

Dealing with Limiting Beliefs

The majority of equestrians are women (over 75%) over the age of 40 (over 50%), many of whom are either taking up riding for the first time or for the first time since their childhood. All of that is typically accompanied by self-doubt and limiting beliefs, which sometimes leads to paralyzing fear.

Many of those riders are spending all of their disposable income to live out a childhood dream, but they are holding back from living those dreams to their fullest.

Dealing with Weight or Balance Issues

Many adult amateur riders also struggle with their weight, having gained weight either in their late 30s or during menopause. That weight gain often leads to balance issues and/or confidence issues.

I myself struggled with fear and balance issues when my weight excluded 225 pounds in my early 40s. Having lost over 70 lbs, I was able to get back my confidence and the seat I had in my 20s.

How Rider Coaching Can Help

As a Master Life Coach, I can help you identify the root of your limiting beliefs or self-doubt and find a path to break free of those limitations and begin living your childhood dreams. As an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, I can help you develop a plan to lose weight and get fit so you can be balanced and confident in the saddle.

Coaches help you create short-term goals that help you achieve your long-term goas. They hold you accountable, so you’re more motivated to put in the day-to-day work. They also help you celebrate when you get to your destination. I’ve been where you are and where you want to go, so I can help you get there too!

Whether you’re struggling to find time to spend with your horse or you’re struggling to get healthy and fit, we have the right program for you to achieve your dreams for you and your horse.
