Our Story
Bent Pines Farm was initially established by Gabe and Dorothy Becchinelli as a 20-acre homestead selling chickens. Not having children interested in the homesteading lifestyle, they gifted their home to a family friend with the provision that it remain a farm. Our logo is an homage to their legacy, replacing the chickens with the equine inspiration for much of what we do.
Our Why
Not long ago, co-owner Tanya Aimanovich was living a life of quiet desperation, weighing nearly 250 pounds and fighting cancer, heart disease, rheumatoid arthritis, and depression while mourning the loss of her father to heart disease and her brother to cancer. Learning that in the early Jewish traditions, every table is an altar, she was inspired to heal her relationship to food and her body. She lost 82lbs and became a health coach and used the same methods to help her husband and business partner to lose 40 pounds.

Tanya Aimanovich
With 35+ years experience with horses, dogs, and donkeys, Tanya provides care and training for the farms animals. Her passion for animal advocacy drives her to continually improve the care and training of all the animals on farm. She provides education in Equine First Aid, Rider Biomechanics, and Saddle Fitting theory and is an active volunteer at nearby Alaqua Animal Refuge. Her training as an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach and Master Spiritual Life Coach provide the basis for our training and coaching programs design using her Healed Table Method for weight loss and improved health.

Matthew Aimanovich
As a hunter, mechanic, and beekeeper, Matthew not only keeps everything running from the tractor to the plumbing, but he also provides humanely sourced meat for himself and the carnivorous animals on the farm. He tends to the orchard and clovers that feed the farms bees, his favorite livestock. Matthew also runs the farms glass blowing, gun smithing, and forge providing values supplies to the homestead. As a former law enforcement officer, he manages the farms security.
Mission & Values
Animal Rehabilitation & Sustainable Agriculture
At Bent Pines Farm, we provide a safe haven for animals struggling in shelter environments through fostering, training, and adoption. Our training methods focus on improving communications between humans and animals with a primary focus on dogs, donkeys, and horses. We are also home to a feral cat colony that protects our feed and supplies.
In addition, we strive to work with our environment to sustainably provide for our dietary needs with our orchard, gardens, chicken habitat, and bee hives. What we don’t produce ourselves, we barter for with local farmers, creating a lifestyle that nourishes our souls as well as our bodies.
Love God
At the heart of everything we do is a desire to love the Lord our God with all our heart and with all our soul and with all our mind and with all our strength. (Mark 12:30)
Love One Another
We also strive to love one another as Jesus has loved us, showing our discipleship in all that we do. (John 13:34-35)
Love God’s Creation
Our homestead seeks to fulfill Adam’s first mission to work and care for the land through stewardship of all God’s creation. (Genesis 2:15)
